Terms of Service

1. About Finpliq

Finpliq is a financial management and HMRC filing platform operated by TA&T Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By using Finpliq, you agree to these terms.

Finpliq is a software tool, not a regulated financial adviser. The figures, calculations, and estimates Finpliq produces (including tax reserves, VAT positions, and payroll calculations) are for guidance only. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your filings and for taking professional advice where appropriate.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident or operating a UK business to use Finpliq.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate information when setting up your account and keep it up to date.
  • One account may be used for multiple businesses. Each business is subject to the plan limits described at finpliq.com/pricing.

3. The service

Finpliq provides:

  • Automated bank transaction import and categorisation.
  • Financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, VAT summary, SA103F mapping, Trial Balance).
  • Invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Payroll calculation and RTI submission to HMRC.
  • Direct HMRC filing for VAT (MTD), CIS, and payroll (FPS/EPS).
  • Accountant pack generation and secure handoff to an accountant you invite.
  • Ask Finpliq, subject to plan allowances and availability.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.

4. HMRC submissions

When you instruct Finpliq to submit a return to HMRC (VAT, CIS, payroll FPS, MTD ITSA), you confirm that the data is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. You remain legally responsible for the returns filed on your behalf. Finpliq is not liable for penalties arising from inaccurate data you have provided.

Government Gateway credentials for native payroll RTI/CIS remain in the local filing client and are used solely to authenticate submissions on your instruction.

5. Ask Finpliq and professional review

Ask Finpliq provides AI-generated guidance using information supplied by you, permitted Finpliq records and current official sources. It is not a Chartered Accountant engagement, legal opinion, tax-agent service or professionally approved advice. Source dates, assumptions and limitations form part of every substantive answer.

You must review the facts and obtain professional advice where judgement or formal reliance is required. Finpliq will not change records, submit filings, contact HMRC or create a legal effect from a Guide answer without a separate workflow and your confirmation. Optional Chartered Accountant review is available through a separately scoped engagement.

6. Payment and billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Prices are shown at finpliq.com/pricing.
  • The free trial (where offered) gives full Core plan access for 14 days with no card required.
  • Additional businesses are charged at £15/month each beyond the plan's included allowance.
  • Ask Finpliq sessions and advanced analyses reset according to the billing period. Core users may purchase optional one-off Advanced Analysis Passes; these do not renew automatically and expire on the date shown at checkout.
  • You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. You may cancel if you do not accept the new pricing.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Finpliq to:

  • Submit false or fraudulent information to HMRC.
  • Access another user's account without authorisation.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract proprietary technology from the platform.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual property

Finpliq and its content are owned by TA&T Ltd. Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over your business data, transactions, or filings.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TA&T Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Finpliq, including HMRC penalties, missed deadlines, or inaccurate tax positions resulting from data you have provided. Our total liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in that period.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
