At a glance

Smart Bookkeeper provides reviewable bookkeeping suggestions, while Ask Finpliq provides AI-generated UK tax, accounting and compliance guidance grounded in permitted Finpliq facts and current official sources.

AI does not automatically change records, submit filings, contact HMRC or create a professionally approved opinion. Users remain responsible for reviewing facts, approvals and final decisions.

Full policy

Finpliq may use automation or AI-assisted logic to suggest bookkeeping categories, identify patterns, explain transactions, support import review and answer business tax and compliance questions.

Substantive Ask Finpliq answers should identify the applicable period, assumptions, uncertainty, complexity and official sources used. Where current authoritative support is insufficient, Finpliq should ask for more information or decline to guess.

AI-generated guidance must not be presented as a Chartered Accountant engagement, legal opinion, HMRC endorsement, tax-agent representation or formally relied-upon professional advice. Human professional review is a separately scoped service available through Finpliq Accountant, while Ask Finpliq guidance itself is not professionally signed or formally relied upon.

AI suggestions and proposed product actions must remain reviewable. User confirmation is required before records or filing workflows are changed.

Sensitive financial data should only be processed through configured services with tenant isolation, least-privilege access, data minimisation and appropriate contractual safeguards. Raw customer questions and uploaded document text must not be sent to public search endpoints.
